We had the thrill of riding the park's main coasters in the dark, from the wild wooden roller coaster Megafobia, to the fast and furious Speed as well as the twisting and turning Treetops. Despite it being a very wet and windy evening all the rides and attractions stayed open and we also made use of the park's indoor attractions Spooky 3D and Journey to Neverland.
We enjoyed an evening meal in The Oak Tree, a new restaurant, bar and grill. With its modern decor, appealing menu and good value prices it's a great place to eat and drink. Also new for 2014 is the Hook's House of Havoc play area in last year's brilliant new Neverland area and the Teacups ride in Circus Land. The majority of the former Wild West area of the park is however currently fenced off awaiting further major investment coming soon, as the park continues to grow and redevelop.
The finale to the event was a very impressive display of fireworks, lasers, lighting, smoke, water fountains, a water screen and even bubbles! The spectacle is set to music, making it a really dramatic show, and one of the best we've ever seen in the UK.
Oakwood Theme Park is located in Pembrokeshire in Wales, providing fun for all the family, from white knuckle rides to entertaining events. Home to Megafobia, Speed, Treetops, Drenched, Bounce and Vertigo. It is a regional theme park but it has some very impressive attractions for its size. After Dark is a great event and is included in normal park admission.
