Inside LEGOLAND will follow some of the park’s 1,200 staff at all levels, from summer interns and caterers to the builders of large-scale LEGO models, as they keep the theme park running smoothly for its 2.3 million annual visitors.
The 4 x 60-minute TV documentary series will also look at the running of the 150-acre park’s two LEGO-themed resort hotels, and follow the design and construction of a new attraction.
The first episode of Inside LEGOLAND was due to be shown on Channel 5 in April, but has been postponed until later this year.
Update: The series will now be starting at 8pm on Sunday 9th August.
Channel 5's Inside... documentary strand has previously looked at companies including retailers Harrods and Hamleys, car manufacturer Rolls-Royce, supermarket Iceland and restaurant chain Nando’s.
The series was commissioned by Channel 5 factual commissioning editor Guy Davies and has been produced by the UK production company Blast! Films.
